Premier Hosts Nepal’s First Diplomathon World Symposium and Secures Overall Best Delegation Award

Premier International IB Continuum School made history by hosting and excelling at Nepal’s first-ever Diplomathon World Symposium, a global event focused on debating, policymaking, and leadership. The two-day symposium, held on 6th and 7th September 2025, brought together more than 150 students from over 10 schools within and outside the Kathmandu Valley. Participants assumed the roles of diplomats and world leaders, tackling major global issues such as climate change, global e-commerce, public health, future-ready education, and football tourism.

Students Take the Stage

Premier’s campus was alive with energy as students delivered speeches, raised motions, debated solutions, and responded to surprise crisis scenarios. The event provided a real-world platform for diplomacy, collaboration, and problem-solving, allowing students to experience firsthand the challenges of global decision-making.

A Platform for Leadership and Global Citizenship

Academic Director Ms. Pravina Thapa expressed pride at the closing ceremony, stating:
“Premierians have always believed in taking risks and being pioneers in uplifting the quality of education in Nepal. Hosting the Diplomathon World Symposium is another milestone in that journey. These two days have proven that Nepal’s students can stand on equal ground with the world by discussing big issues, offering real solutions, and demonstrating the confidence of global citizenship.”

The first phase of the program included diplomacy and leadership workshops, connecting students with peers from around the world. These sessions developed skills in collaboration, negotiation, and creative problem-solving. The second phase brought these skills to life during the live Diplomathon, with debates, negotiations, and crisis simulations that allowed students to translate global perspectives into local action.

Looking Ahead

This successful event sets the stage for the Diplomathon World Symposium Global Round in Japan in early 2026, where Premier’s delegates will engage with top students from around the world. By hosting and excelling in Nepal’s first Diplomathon, Premier International IB Continuum School reinforced its position as the country’s only IB Continuum School, dedicated to preparing confident, compassionate, and globally-minded leaders.
