The admission process for students applying online, including NRNs (Non-Resident Nepali), International students, and Expats, typically involves several key steps.
Step 1
Eligibility Criteria
Before starting the application, it is essential for applicants to understand the eligibility requirements. This typically includes educational qualifications, age limits, and specific requirements for NRNs, expats, and international students.
Step 2
Required Documents
Common documents for online applications include:
- Passport/ID (for international students or expats).
- Proof of nationality (NRN or foreign).
- Educational certificates (secondary school and higher education, if applicable).
- Transcripts and mark sheets.
- Letters of recommendation (if applicable).
- Passport-sized photos.
Step 3
Online Application Form
Applicants need to visit the official website and fill out the online application form. The application form will ask for:
- Personal Information: Name, date of birth, nationality, contact details, etc.
- Academic Background: Schools attended, grades obtained, etc.
- Program Choice: Desired degree program and course preferences (For SHS).
- Statement of Purpose or Personal Essay (if applicable): Application for the Diploma program requires an essay explaining why the student wants to study at the institution, their future goals, etc.
Step 4
Entrance Exams and Assessments
- Online student interview is conducted for the students applying till Grade 5 to understand their academic needs and language proficiency.
- Assessment of English language proficiency (for non-native speakers), Math and science skills and general cognitive ability (e.g., reasoning, problem-solving) for students applying Grade 6 and above
Step 5
Admission Decision
- Once the application, documents, and tests are evaluated, the school makes a decision regarding the student’s admission.
- The school will notify parents via phone call, email, or formal letter about the admission decision and any further formalities required including the requirement of extra support classes (Language support program, Learning support program, etc)
- Waitlist (if applicable): If the school is oversubscribed, some applicants may be placed on a waitlist.
Step 6
Fee Payment and Enrollment
- Acceptance: Once accepted, parents or guardians are required to confirm the student’s enrollment.
- Fee Structure: For the official seat booking, parents are required to make the required payment.
- Documents Submission: A final batch of documents (if any) is submitted, such as:
- Admission form
- Emergency contact information
- Financial agreements/contracts, etc.
Step 7
Orientation
- School will conduct an orientation for new students and their families to familiarize them with the school’s culture, policies, and daily routines.
- Parents are introduced to key teachers and staff members.
