Premier International IB Continuum School, Nepal’s first and only IB Continuum School, proudly hosted the Premier Sports Gala 2024, bringing together students, teachers, and parents in a vibrant celebration of sportsmanship, collaboration, and well-being. Unlike traditional sports days, the Gala reflects Premier’s ethos of fostering a positive attitude toward physical activity while encouraging friendly competition and community connection.
Fun and Learning for All Ages
The event was divided into three dynamic segments to engage every age group.
Primary Years Programme (PYP) students—from early years to Grade 5—kicked off the day with races focused on teamwork and collaboration. Their energy and enthusiasm set the tone, introducing young learners to the joy of movement in a supportive environment.
The Middle Years Programme (MYP) segment, comprising Grades 6 to 10, offered students a platform to showcase strategy, resilience, and growing athletic skills. As they balanced physical and intellectual pursuits, their spirited participation reflected the IB’s holistic approach to education.
Senior high school students from Grades 11 and 12, enrolled in the IBDP or NEB curriculum, closed the day with high-energy races demonstrating years of personal and athletic growth. Their dedication, excellence, and sportsmanship inspired younger students and highlighted the culmination of skill, perseverance, and teamwork.
Parents and Community in the Game
A defining feature of the Sports Gala was the active participation of parents, who joined races with the same spirit of fun and collaboration as the students. Their involvement strengthened connections within the school community and set an inspiring example of teamwork and support.
